Granite Bay Woodworks & Remodeling LLC, owned and operated by Ellis B. Baker (Ben), specializes in custom cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom renovations, interior and exterior renovations, furniture, and millwork. In business since 2002, GBW&R offers contracting and design as well as build services for architects and interior designers chosen by the client. Current clients in Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire and Michigan.

Ben is the owner of Granite Bay Woodworks & Remodeling, specializing in design, custom cabinetry, millwork, kitchen,  bathroom renovations, and furniture for residential and commercial clients.  Prior to starting GBW&R, Ben served as the Technical Director for two Connecticut regional theaters, Long Wharf Theatre (1990-96) and The Hartford Stage Company (1999-2002).

 

It was during his time at Long Wharf Theatre that Ben began building furniture and renovating homes for clients he had met through the theater community both in Connecticut and New York.

 

A graduate of Ithaca College, Ben has also been involved with educational theater throughout the years including University of Connecticut and the The University of New Haven. He lives in Branford, Connecticut with his wife Robin. They have two daughters, Rachel and Jane.
